Calde de Pollo is a must in the winter time !!

Short wait time. Server checked to make sure everything was good. Food correct temperature. Price wasn't too bad, as I took half home, and I was full. So basically two full meals for $11.50 plus chips and salsa with cilantro while waiting.

The first time the food was cooked perfectly. The second visit had runny beans & mush for rice. Two chiefs with different abilities.

One the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at in my entire life. Great service, friendly people, amazing food! They rock!

I like El Nopal. The restaurant is nice. I like the food a lot. (As long as I get it without the spicy sauce.) The service was really good. The prices are good too. You can get a good meal for about $10 per person.

So this is the only Mexican joint in the area. So they seem to have cornered that market. The food was actually pretty good. The service was nice and personable. In comparison to some finer restaurants in kansas city with the same style, it is a little lackluster. But for this area, go for it.

I had Shrimp fajitas. They were AWESOME!! Service was fast and very pleasant! We will definitely be going back!

I'm never disappointed coming to eat at El Nopal,food is fresh and very tasty, the staff and atmosphere is very family friendly,they go beyond, to accommodate large groups too! My family loves it!

We usually go here for my birthday. Always enjoyed the food, and service was always great. Today, everything was fine until we told them it was my birthday. I can handle wearing the sombrero, and getting a derogatory song sung in Spanish (which they don't know I understand) sung to me, BUT the handful of whipped cream to my face and beard was too much. I won't be going back. Excellent food does not make up for disrespecting a customer!

El Nopal always has fabulous wait staff. Their guacamole is quite tasty. I enjoy eating lunch there on days I have court. The colorful benches make for a festive atmosphere. Great place for authentic Mexican lunch or dinner food.

Well i had the mixed burrito without the cheese sauce. It was great! Only thing i was slightly disappointed with was that there were no nopal tacos to order. But that is understandable since the place is way up here. Other than that I had a great experience.

Food wasnt terrible, but the beef had no flavor and the service was poor.

Staff was very quick to seat us but not serve us. We were in town too watch a youth baseball game and decided to eat dinner while there...but we won't go back. Refills were only given when we ASKED and food service was very slow.

Good food at a great price. They also have food and drink specials daily. Service is typically very quick. Parking is not great, especially during dinner rush on weekends, though, so be sure to plan accordingly.
